Azercell TeleСЃom JV takes 76% of Azerbaijan mobile market, the president of the company Halim Atesh told on August 10, Trend reports.
According to Atesh, the network of the operator covers 74.5% of the country territory and in result, 98% of the population uses the services of Azercell. By the end of the first half yar of 2006, the number of Azercells subscribers equaled 1.966.056.
At present, this indicator has exceeded 20 mln, Atesh said.
Touching on the impact of the new mobile operator in person of Azerfon JV in Azerbaijan on the activity of Azercell, Atesh stressed that Azercell is always ready to compete in the local market and provide new services to its subscribers.
