The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan will participate in the Youth Forum within the 5th ITU Telecom World 2006 scheduled to take place on December 4-8 in Hong Kong (China). From the Azerbaijani side, the meeting will be attended by Ilaha Rzayeva, the Chief Consultant of the Information Society Development Department, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry.
The 6-day forum is aimed at creating the world network of youth and exchange of knowledge, conducting debates on various spheres, discussing the development prospects of the information technologies in various countries and achieving the improvement of the life standards in these countries, with the support of IT.
Conducted in May 2001 in Africa for the first time, the forum had spread to 190 countries member countries of the International Telecommunication Union and representatives of various universities and other higher education institutions.
The exhibition is one of the prestigious exhibitions in the sphere of telecommunication and information technologies representing high-technological development and achievements of the leading world countries. The exhibition is organized by the International Telecommunication Union.
