Azerbaijani Bakcell intends to apply 4G communications technology. This technology is planned to be carried out till 2010, Trend reports quoting the Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies. Earlier, the Company had presented this service during the exhibition BakuTel 2006.
The difference of the 4G technology from the previous technologies is that 4G has been fully based on the protocol of the delivery of the burstiness, while 3G contains protocols of delivering noisy traffic and burstiness.
Bakcell Company was created in 1994 as a joint venture in co-operation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan. Presently the Company provides services to more than 700,000 subscribers in Azerbaijan.
