Canon Power Shot TX1 for Pocket-Sized HD Video Recording

( mobilemag ) - Gone are the days that you need to lug around a big monstrosity in order to capture high definition video. The Canon PowerShot TX1 is a pocket-sized device that will not only shoot video at 720p widescreen HDTV, but it can also capture still pictures at a very adequate 7.1 megapixel resolution. Sporting about the same dimensions as a deck of cards, the PowerShot TX1 can handle 16:9 wide-aspect HD video at 30 frames per second.

The LCD swings out and rotates to provide you with the best viewing angle, whereas all your precious memories are stored via the memory card slot which will take SD, SDHC, MMC, and MMCplus.

Moreover, this multi-tasking wonder also rocks Canon's improved Digic III image processor, giving you "faster startup, improved image quality and extended battery life." In the still image category, the TX1 provides you with optical image stabilization and 10x optical zoom. Look for it to ship next month with an MSRP of $499.99.
