Conference of  Regional  Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication Commenced Work in   Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Babayeva/ The conference of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication, Information Baku.

The agenda of the meeting of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication includes issues connected with the implementation of the Actiona Plan of the Strategy of Co-operation of CIS Member-States in the field of information, implementing projects on the instalation of "E-Government", application of IT to develop education, introduction of next-generation passports and visa documents in CIS countries, agreeing on standards of CIS countries in the IT field and foundation of the CIS Interstate Informative and Marketing Centre.

Iltimas Mammadov, the Deputy of Azerbaijan's Telecommunication the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication was at its highest level.

Rufat Gulmammadov, the Chief of the Informative Society Department of the Azerbaijan Telecommunication Ministry, who is also the Deputy of the Chairman of the Committee, will represent Azerbaijan in the Committee for Information of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication. Rashad Nabiyev, the Chief of the Department for Finances, Accounting, and Econbomic Analysis of the Azerbaijan Telecommunication Ministry represents our country in the Committee for Telecommunication Economy of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication

During the second meeting of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication, the agenda also include issues connected with opinion exchange, and in particular functioning supervision bodies and the regulation in the sphere of telecommunication and IT in countries-members of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication, major principles on formation of the postal legislation and development of postal service, experince in the field of privatization of telecommunication companies and postal servive organizations, implementation of the mechanism of universal servicing, existing practice of mutual calculations between fixed and mobile communication operators for mutual access to the networks dometstically, and many other issues.

Representatives of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, as well as the Moscow Scientific and Reserach Centre and the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication is participating at the conference with Azerbaijan.
