( Mobilemag ) - The idea of portability is effectively thrown out the window with the introduction of this 20.1-inch behemoth. Following in a similar line of thought as the Dell XPS M2010 is the HP Pavilion HDX Series portable computer, complete with a huge 20.1-inch widescreen display.
Also being dubbed "The Dragon", the HP Pavilion HDX Series really means business. That 20.1-inch display is capable of full 1080p HD, and because it's got a dual hinge design, adjusting the angle and position is a piece of cake. Naturally, it's got a lot of beef under the hood as well, including a Core2Duo Extreme processor, ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 512MB XT graphics, up to 400GB HDD, up to 4GB of RAM, four Altec Lansing speakers, a subwoofer, and a dockable Media Center remote control.
Clearly not designed with mobile professionals in mind, this HP Dragon is scheduled to ship this summer with prices starting at US$2,999.
