Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismaylova / The third mobile operator (Azerfon) may cause a decrease in tariffs for mobile communication in Azerbaijan, the Minister for Communications and IT of Azerbaijan, Ali Abbasov, said on 17 May to journalists.
According to the Minister, the services of the operator expanded, so the cut in tariffs for mobile communication is not ruled out.
The users of the NarMobile network, a mobile operator of the Azerfon joint venture, which began its activities in March, consist of several tens of thousands.
Azerfon was issued the certificate for mobile communication by the decision of the Ministry of Communications and IT of Azerbaijan in December 2005. The founders of the company are the Aztelekom company (10%), German Siemens (30%) and two British companies (60%).
The Azercell and Bakcell joint ventures also operate in the Azerbaijani mobile communication market.
