Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Communication and Information Technology Minister, stated on 7 June that the most favourable conditions for creation of a regional innovation zone in Azerbaijan may appear in 2008.
According to Abbasov, it might be realized, once the Azerbaijani Parliament considers and adopts the corresponding bill.
"The document, developed by Allen Hamilton, the consultant of the Booz project, and the Azerbaijani and international experts, has already been submitted to the Azerbaijani President Administration for consideration," the Minister added.
The project on regional innovation zones envisages creation of industrial parks for development of small-scale and mean innovation enterprises, equipments and programme products and transformation of the country in the beneficial transit Data Center.
