Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Azerbaijani start-up telecommunications company AZERFON, running under the Nar Mobile brand, announced the beginning of the commercial operation of CBOSS' end-to-end convergent industrial solution based on the CBOSSrtb Real-time Billing system (rtBilling™), the Company reports.

In 2006, CBOSS Corporation has won the open tender to fully automate AZERFON's telecommunications business. The project included the supply and implementation of the convergent industrial solution based on CBOSSrtb delivering real-time business support and utmost reliability. Under the contract CBOSS has provided the telco with an end-to-end IT infrastructure streamlining all the aspects of the telecommunications business. Today, the solution operates in AZERFON's EDGE-enabled 2.75G GSM network.

The solution is fully compliant with the CBOSS 2007 motto, 3D Convergence for 3Gsm World, which means convergence for payments, data, and the platform.

Payment convergence implies integrated prepaid and postpaid billing for any service including parallel transactions. The CBOSS solution supports hybrid accounts allowing customers to select payment methods on the fly.

Data convergence consists in ability to rate heterogeneous services in any network including 3G, while versatile services and fast time-to-market are two of the most important enablers of a carrier's success. From the very first day of commercial operation, the CBOSS solution allowed AZERFON to offer its subscribers more than seventy services from voice mail, teleconferencing, SMS, MMS and fax to various 3G services including mobile TV. Planning to expand its offering, AZERFON provides more services than any other telco in Azerbaijan already today. A convenient reporting system allows AZERFON to efficiently analyze the market trends and provide instant response to business challenges to satisfy every need of its customers.

CBOSSrtb Real-time Billing is built around the HP NonStop platform that is unsurpassed in reliability, ensures zero-downtime, and enables ultra-fast system response of less than 100ms.

Besides the unique reliability and functionality, the CBOSS solution has the lowest TCO in its class. All the solution components are pre-integrated, while the 3D convergence reduces operational expenditures including those on scaling-up and upgrade, which is extremely important for a start-up with a growing subscriber base. In addition, CBOSS provides a general warranty for all components of the implemented IT infrastructure and delivers comprehensive technical support.

Today, AZERFON's services cover 80% of Azerbaijan's area. By the end of 2007, the company plans to expand the coverage and increase the network capacity up to one million subscribers and acquire 30% of the market within the foreseeable future. Judging by the development dynamics of the first month of commercial operation, AZERFON will become the leader of the Azerbaijani telecommunications market within a year.

"The end-to-end solution from CBOSS Corporation allowed us to launch a wide spectrum of innovative services and tariffs designed for different customer segments. AZERFON's subscribers enjoy advanced account management, use discounts, and actively participate in various bonus programs," said Milos Surla, commercial director at AZERFON. "Today, we have a significant competitive advantage on the market, which is ensured by the unique functionality of the convergent solution from CBOSS."

CBOSS' end-to-end convergent industrial solution is market-proven by vast deployment experience, driving jumpstart for any telco to reach full-scale capacity, considerably increase their subscriber base, and achieve superb overall performance in the shortest term. That is why CBOSS is the best choice for any telecom start-up across the globe.
