Uzbek BMB Trade Group company and the French Advantage Central Asia have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture (JV) in France, specialized in packaging fruits and vegetables grown and dried in Uzbekistan and bringing them to the European market, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
The agreement was signed at a meeting between the head of the BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov and the director general of the Advantage Central Asia Dmitry Rodin.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the development of bilateral trade and economic relations.
As Mamatkulov noted, on April 17, 2020, the first batch of dried fruits and vegetables worth 480,000 euros will be delivered to France.
In particular, in November of this year, with the help of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, the BMB Trade Group, in cooperation with the Advantage Central Asia, conducted a marketing research with a goal to increase export of fruits and vegetables to $2.5 billion in 2020, and up to $5 billion in the next three years.
As it became known from the research, in the coming years a stable growth of the agricultural products market and an increase in demand in European markets for products grown in Uzbekistan are expected.
