Uzbekistan reveals date of launching regular bus runs between Tashkent, Bishkek

Tashkent-Bishkek-Tashkent international bus route will be launched on May 5 from Tashkent Central Bus Station, the press service of the Uzbek Motor Transport agency reported.

According to the information, regular bus runs between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will be launched on May 7.

Agreement on launch of the bus route was achieved during the meeting of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Joint Commission on International Road Transportation held on January 22 in Tashkent.

Length of the route is 601 kilometers, journey duration – 12 hours 40 minutes. The schedule of the bus run provides for 30 minutes for each of the four customs and border checkpoints.

In Kyrgyzstan, the buses will run from the Bishkek Eastern Bus Station.

Bus fare is 120,000 soums from Tashkent (less than $15) and 1,000 soms from Bishkek (roughly $14.5).

Carrier from the Uzbek side is Mironshokh Grand Trans company (Chinese Foton buses), from the Kyrgyz side – Trans Union Asia (Chinese Yutong buses).
