Uzbekistan, Israel mull tourism development

The Ambassador of Israel to Uzbekistan Edward Shapira, as well as the Ambassador of Tourism of Uzbekistan in Israel Hay Davidov visited the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development to discuss the promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential, Podrobno.uz reported.
At the meeting held on Oct. 10, the parties discussed the possibilities for increasing the tourist flow, as well as the events planned for 2019. The Israeli side gave a detailed account of the activities that were carried out to increase the tourist flow from Israel, including successful cases of increasing the tourist flow to Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Davidov offered to make short videos and a feature film about Uzbekistan with joint efforts of Uzbek and Israeli filmmakers. It is also planned to hold several outdoor events in various cities of Israel in order to popularize tours to Uzbekistan.
Davidov, a native of Uzbekistan, was appointed the first ambassador for tourism of Uzbekistan to Israel. He is also the founder of the Bukharan Khanda-Khanda (Laughter-Laughter) theater in Israel.
