Eight flights have been launched between Iran's Tehran and Bushehr cities, Director General of Bushehr Province Airports Company Kamal Dehqan-Manshadi said, Trend reports via IRNA.

"Four of these flights are operated by ATA Airlines using McDonnell Douglas aircraft with a capacity of 170 passengers on Saturdays and Tuesdays," Dehqan-Manshadi said.

The other four flights will be operated by Taban Airlines, also using MD aircraft with the same passenger capacity.

Thanks to the new flights, the number of weekly flights at Bushehr International Airport has now reached 70 for the Tehran-Bushehr route.

Dehqan-Manshadi noted that the increase in the number of flights will lead to a fall in ticket prices, in addition to increasing public satisfaction.

Presently, Bushehr International Airport operates 84 weekly flights to and from the cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Kharg and Isfahan.
