Russian airline to fly to Kazakhstan's capital

Russia’s Red Wings Airlines plans to fly from St. Petersburg to Kazakhstan's Astana, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan has informed that the development of international air routes continues.

"Through diplomatic channels we received from the Russian aviation authorities the appointment of Red Wings Airlines to perform the St. Petersburg-Astana flights with a frequency of 7 flights a week," the Committee said.

It should be noted that currently, Kazakhstan's Air Astana operates direct flights from Astana to St. Petersburg with a frequency of 6 times a week.

Earlier, the flights from Russia were operated by Rossiya Airlines.
