Tbilisi International Airport is the leader by the number of passengers transported in Georgia, Georgian Civil Aviation Agency told Trend.
As the agency said, according to data for eight months of 2019, 2.65 million passengers were transported through the airport, which is 3 percent more than in the same period last year.
“Kutaisi International Airport is also developing rapidly. According to the rating of the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe), it is one of the leaders among European airports in terms of passenger traffic growth,” the agency said.
The agency representatives added that over the past eight months of 2019, Kutaisi Airport has served 537,838 passengers, which is more than 40-percent increase in comparison with the same period of 2018.
“Positive dynamics of passenger traffic is also observed at Batumi International Airport. In eight months of 2019, the airport served 444,252 passengers, which shows 5-percent increase compared to the first eight months of 2018,” the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency said.
