New airline to start operating in Georgia

The new Indian airline Indigo will begin operating in Georgia since January 1, 2020, said Tea Zakaradze, Deputy General Manager of "Tbilisi International Airport", Trend reports citing the Georgian media outlets.

According to Zakaradze, Indigo is another low-coster that will start working in Georgia.

This airline will launch regular Delhi-Tbilisi-London flights.

Meanwhile, negotiations are ongoing with several other airlines.

Indigo (InterGlobe Aviation Limited) is an Indian low-cost airline headquartered at Gurgaon, Haryana, India. It is the largest airline in India by passengers carried and fleet size, with a 47 percent domestic market share as of August 2019.

The airline was founded as a private company by Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal, a United States-based expatriate Indian in 2006.
