In June 2020, 37,915 international visitors visited Georgia, which is 95.7 percent less than in the same period in 2019, Trend reports with reference to Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).
As reported, the vast majority of visitors came from neighboring and nearby countries.
In June, most visitors to Georgia were from Turkey - 15,828, followed by visitors from Azerbaijan, and Russia.
The list of the visitors from top countries is as follows:
1. Turkey - 15,828 visitors (-88 percent compared to June last year);
2. Azerbaijan - 3,590 visitors (-97.1 percent);
3. Russia - 3,457 visitors (-97.7 percent);
4. Georgia (non-residents) - 2,299 visitors (-93.7 percent);
5. Ukraine - 1,088 visitors (-94.6 percent);
6. Uzbekistan - 984 visitors (-33.8 percent);
7. The Republic of Belarus - 791 visitors (-88.1 percent);
8. Kazakhstan - 497 visitors (-94.8 percent);
9. Bulgaria - 299 visitors (-72.3 percent).
