Uzbekistan is expanding its horizons, as Uzbekistan Airways has announced the launch of ticket sales for flights to Munich (Germany), Trend reports citing the Uzbekistan Airways.

The company will operate flights on the route Tashkent - Munich - Tashkent from April 1, 2020, twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The price of an economy class return ticket starts from 520 euros.

Uzbekistan Airways currently operates regular flights to Frankfurt, one of Germany's largest economic centers, with a frequency of three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

As reported previously, Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of countries for whose citizens visa-free regime with Uzbekistan will be introduced. This is reflected in the state program of Uzbekistan for 2020. In addition, the document instructed to approve a set of measures to reduce the cost of servicing aircraft of foreign airlines at domestic airports by 30-50 percent, to optimize rates and tariffs for passenger and cargo transportation.

Uzbekistan Airways was established on January 28, 1992, under the decree of the head of state as a body of governmental management of civil aviation, providing development, co-ordination and realization of policy in the field of air transport within the territory of Uzbekistan.

Fleet of «Uzbekistan Airways» consists of Boeing-757/767, Boeing-787-8 Dreamliner, А320, IL-114-100, as well as cargo freighters Boeing-767-300BCF.

The airline operates regular domestic and international flights to more than 40 cities of the leading countries of the world - Russia, Belarus, the USA, Italy, Germany, France, Latvia, Great Britain, India, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Israel, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan. The company has representative offices in 25 countries.
