One of the Israel’s largest airline companies – Israir – is planning to start operating flights of the Tel Aviv – Almaty route starting from March 2020, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
The issue was discussed within the framework of the meeting between Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastayev with CEO of Israir Airlines Uri Sirkis and Ambassador of Israel in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Liat Wexelman.
Within the framework of the meeting, Sirkis named company’s plans to launch flights on the Tel Aviv – Almaty route in the case that all necessary aviation security procedures are carried out.
The ministry noted that flights of Israeli airlines to foreign countries are implemented with increased security measures.
“In this regard, the parties discussed the requirements for aviation security of Israel imposed on Israeli airlines when flying to foreign countries during the meeting,” the ministry said.
Following the end of the meeting parties agreed to continue work on establishing regular passenger flights between two countries.
