Azerbaijan carried out road freight transportation in the amount of $507 million in January 2020, which is 0.2 percent more compared to January 2019, Trend reports referring to the report of country’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
In 2019, the volume of road freight transportation amounted to almost 416,000 tons, which is 1.4 percent less compared to 2018.
The volume of exported road freight transportation amounted to almost 90,000 tons in 2019, a decrease of 14.2 percent compared to 2018. Meanwhile, the value of the cargo reached $92 million, increasing by 8.7 percent.
Imports via road freight transportation amounted to almost 161,000 tons in January 2020, showing the decrease of 0.16 percent and $416 million in monetary terms, which dropped by 1.4 percent compared to January 2019.
In general, Azerbaijan’s trade turnover amounted to $2.85 billion in January 2020, whereas exports amounted to $2.13 billion, and import - almost $720 million.
