The value of cargo transported in Azerbaijan from January through April 2020 amounted to $370.6 million, which is 3.9 times less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the country’s State Customs Committee on May 14.
During the reporting period, 25,200 tons of cargo were transported by air, which is 15.1 percent less than in the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, the volume of cargo worth $70.6 million (a drop of 9.6 percent in value) exported by air slid by 13.1 percent and made up 21,800 tons, and 3,380 tons of cargo worth almost $299.9 million (a 4.6-time decrease in value) were imported by air.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover amounted to $9.7 billion.
The country's export made up $6.3 billion, while import - over $3.3 billion.
