As many as 34,238 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Germany in the first five months of 2020, which is 11 percent less than in the same period in 2019, Trend reports on June 17 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
"Germany accounted for 7.45 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks during the reporting period," the association said.
According to UND, in May 2020, 6,826 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Germany, which is 16 percent less than in May last year.
In total, 459,738 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through May 2020, which is 11 percent less compared to the same period in 2019.
Some 89,760 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad in May 2020, which is 20 percent less compared to May 2019.
