Data on cargo runs from Turkey to Georgia from January through May unveiled

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18

As many as 14,569 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Georgia in the first five months of 2020, remaining unchanged compared to the same period in 2019, Trend reports on June 18 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

"Georgia accounted for 3.17 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period," the association said.

According to UND, in May this year, 2,632 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Georgia, which is 28 percent less than in May 2019.

In total, 459,738 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through May 2020, which is 11 percent less compared to the same period last year.

Some 89,760 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad in May 2020, which is 20 percent less compared to May 2019.
