Airbus evaluates potential for mutually-beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan

As far as commercial aircraft sector is concerned, Airbus sees the demand on the Uzbekistan market for more fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft, Regional Director for Communications of Airbus in Russia and CIS Maria Shlyakhtova told Trend.

She said, the company is constantly evaluating the potential for mutually-beneficial cooperation with their partners in different countries and regions, as well as with Uzbekistan.

"Aircrafts like the A320neo Family, including the A321LR and A321XLR models, which benefit from up to 20 percent of fuel burn savings combined with an extended range of up to 8700 km will fully meet the needs of the aviation of Uzbekistan," she noted.

According to her, in 2019 two A320neo joined the fleet of Uzbekistan Airways, delivering the expected value and fully meeting the customer expectations.

Airbus is one of the largest aircraft building companies in the world, established in the late 1960's by merging several European aircraft manufacturers. It produces passenger, cargo and military transport aircrafts under the Airbus brand.

The company operates in 167 countries around the world and has 25 production facilities in 10 countries. It has more than 2,000 customers and 161 sales agents in 77 countries.
