Kazakhstan's budget revenues from car industry increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23

Automotive manufacturers transferred a total of 3.6 billion tenge ($8.9 million) to Kazakhstan’s budget in 1Q2020, which is 50.6 percent more than in 1H2019, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakhstan’s Union of Automobile Industry Ventures.

The largest volume of funds was paid by AZIA AVTO company, which paid 1.3 billion tenge ($3.1 million) in 1H2020. The share of the AZIA AVTO in total automotive manufacturers revenues paid increased by 8.5 percent compared to 1H2019.

AZIA AVTO is followed by SaryArkaAutoProm, which paid 911.4 million tenge ($2.2 million). SemAz paid 560.8 million tenge ($1.3 million), KAMAZ Engineering paid 468.9 million tenge ($1.1 million), Hyundai Trans Auto paid 220.1 million tenge ($532,032).

In turn, Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan paid 168.5 million tenge ($407,299), UralskAgroRemMash paid 67.4 million tenge ($162,920), Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan paid 29.3 million tenge ($70,824).

The overall volume of budget payments made by Kazakhstan’s ventures operating in automobile industry (including retail sale and service of automotive equipment) amounted to 30.8 billion tenge ($74.4 million), which is 4.9 percent less than in 1H2019.

The overall number of cars sold in Kazakhstan in 1H2020 amounted to 25,259 cars, which is 39.1 percent more year-on-year.
