The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Railways are working on a deep reform of the country's railway system with the involvement of the best foreign consulting companies, Trend reports citing the Ministry.
The Ministry held a video conference with representatives of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) on August 20, 2020.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of signing a contract for consulting services.
“According to this contract, BCG should develop specific proposals for the improvement of the railway industry in the country, including the privatization of certain property objects not related to the main activity of the railway, with an in-depth analysis of the existing structure, operating system and problematic issues of Uzbekistan Railways JSC,” the message said.
Earlier, BCG successfully implemented Regional and Transit Transport Flows of Uzbekistan and Development of its Transport and Logistics Infrastructure project.
