A total of 37,436 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan over the first eight months of 2020, which is 46.3 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in Aug. alone amounted to 5,308 cars, which also is 60.6 percent more than in Aug. 2019.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 4,248 vehicles (764 in Aug.), of specialized vehicles at 182 vehicles (30 in Aug.).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in Aug. 2020 amounted to 414, which is 3.2 times more than during Aug. 2019. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 843 vehicles, which is 50.5 percent more than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 53,449 during eight months of 2020 and 5,085 in Aug. 2020, which is 44.9 percent and 10.5 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2019.
Some 14 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over eight months of 2020 (2 in Aug.), and 451 cargo wagons (39 in Aug.).
