TEHRAN, Iran, Sep.30

Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization has signed four memorandums of understanding with the Iran Customs Administration, Research center in the Ministry of Road and Urban Development, and two companies active in providing air services to improve ports.

The following agreement includes preserving the environment and fighting marine pollution, research and scientific cooperation, air services for rescue missions, and monitoring and cleaning marine pollution, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization and Iran Customs Administration were agreed to cooperate on rescue operations and fighting marine pollution in the country's waters and proper use of facilities and capacities or organizations in this regard.

Iran Customs Administration can have a good role in protecting the environment and rescuing individuals in distress at the sea.

The Research center in the Ministry of Road and Urban Development is expected to trade its experience with the Port and Maritime Organization by offering consulting services and training and running studies in various areas.

The following memorandums would be valid for five years that aim to use the current capacities and expand cooperation.
