UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka city of Uzbekistan received the right to set up new car lines, based on the General Motors platform, Trend reports with reference to UzAuto Motors press service.

General Motors specialists from India, China, Korea and the US checked the UzAutoMotors plant in Asaka for the degree of quality integration into production processes (BIQ - Built-In Quality). As a result of the audit, the enterprise was awarded the fourth level BIQ certificate - a corporate approach that allows creating quality on the spot and troubleshooting problems locally.

“The current level of global accreditation means that the plant produces cars in accordance with the global quality of General Motors, and this will allow UzAuto Motors to further develop a new line of cars on General Motors global platforms, ensure the safety of employees and partners of the company, as well as carry out constant work to reduce losses and increased production efficiency,” the statement said.

The UzAuto Motors branch in Khorezm region also has received a BIQ IV certificate.

The General Motors Global Manufacturing System (GMS) classifies auto plants into five levels of quality integration into BIQ manufacturing processes. The system is used in the assessment of manufacturing enterprises, allowing determining the level of quality.
