A total of 11,140 vehicles of all types worth 84.5 billion tenge ($196.9 million) were manufactured in Kazakhstan in Oct. 2020, which is 110 percent more than during the same month of 2019, Trend reports citing the data of Association of Kazakhstan’s Automobile Business.
Overall, 61,796 vehicles worth 460.9 billion tenge ($1.07 billion) were manufactured in Kazakhstan over first ten months of 2020, which is 58.4 percent more in volume than during the same period last year.
Thus, during the reporting period of 2020 some 51,922 passenger cars were manufactured (increase by 51.5 percent), 6,299 trucks (increase by 114 percent). 1,525 buses (increase by 67.4 percent), 1,766 trailers and semi-trailers (increase by 138 percent), as well as 284 units of other types of specialized vehicles.
The majority of the vehicles produced during the reporting period were of SaryarkaAutoProm manufacturing (30,566 vehicles), which increased production volume by 56 percent (compared to 19,625 vehicles last year). Azia Auto plant produced 20,955 vehicles (increase by 31 percent), Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 4,206 vehicles, SemAZ produced 2,419 vehicles, KAMAZ Engineering manufactured 914 trucks, Hyundai Trans Auto manufactured 534 passenger cars, Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan manufactured 343 specialized vehicles.
Furthermore, 565 cars were exported during Oct. 2020, and 6,039 cars were exported over 10 months of 2020.
