Azerbaijan's export operations by rail amounted to over 1.8 million tons from January through October 2020, which is 2.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, the total amount of the export operations made up $364.7 million decreasing annually by 35.9 percent.
At the same time, Azerbaijan carried out railway cargo transportation in the amount of $2.1 million, down 18.5 percent year on year.
During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transportation by rail amounted to 5.9 million tons, which is 3.8 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
As reported, imports of goods by rail during the reporting period amounted to 4.09 million tons, while in terms of money - $1.74 billion, a decrease of 13.6 percent.
