Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 179.05 billion tenge ($426.3 million) in 2020, which is 4.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in Dec. 2020 amounted to 17.04 billion tenge ($40.5 million), which is 4.9 percent more than during the same period of 2019.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 3.2 billion tons, which is 7.4 percent less compared to the same period of last year (321.9 million tons in Dec. 2020, down by 4.8 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 160.6 billion ton-kilometers which is 12 percent less than during the same period of last year (16.08 billion in Dec. 2020, a decrease of 0.4 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 66.6 billion tenge ($158.7 million) over the reporting period of 2020, which is 37.8 percent less than during the same period of last year. December’s revenue from passenger transportation was 6.6 billion tenge ($15.8 million), which is 29.2 percent less than in Dec. 2019.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 8.3 billion people, which is 64.8 percent less than during the same period of last year (379.8 million passengers in Dec. 2020, down by 82 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 91.2 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 65 percent. The passenger turnover in Dec. was 4.2 billion (81.2 percent decrease year-on-year).
