The volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 188.6 million tons in 2020, Trend reports citing the data of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the decline in cargo transportation on an annualized basis was 19.8 percent.
The share of railway transport accounted for slightly over 7.7 percent of all traffic, in the volume of 14.6 million tons, said the report.
During the reporting period, 2.12 million passengers were transported by rail, the report reads.
The annual decrease in freight traffic was 3.9 percent, and in passenger traffic - 44.8 percent.
From January through November 2020, a surplus of 78.4 million manat ($46.1 million) was formed in the state budget of Azerbaijan.
The nominal volume of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan in the reporting period amounted to 64.7 billion manat.
According to the data, for the reporting period, state budget revenues amounted to more than 22.2 billion manat ($13.5 billion), which is 5.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.
