Volume of cargo loaded, unloaded in Iran’s Khorramshahr port announced

About 191,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Khorramshahr port of the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, thus, 178,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 12,600 tons were unloaded at the port over the reporting month.

“Furthermore, about 178,000 tons of goods were exported and 11,900 tons were imported through the Khorramshahr port within ninth month,” the statistics said.

At the same time, 693 tons of goods were unloaded at this port for transit purposes and 350 tons were loaded for other purposes, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 4,170 tons of essential products, 33,400 tons of metal products, 139,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,050 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded at the Khorramshahr port in the 9th month.

“Also, 757 tons of chemicals, 251 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 10,600 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month,” the statistics said.

A total of 9.13 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20, 2020). Of this, 5.5 million tons were loaded and 3.62 million tons were unloaded.
