A total of 10.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020, through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization.

According to the statistics, 6.32 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.55 million tons were unloaded in the Iranian ports during the reporting month.

“The loading and unloading of cargo decreased by 10.5 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, 12.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the same month last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Over the 10th month, 4.45 million tons of oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports. About 2.85 million tons of oil and oil products were loaded and 1.59 million tons were unloaded, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 2.23 million tons of necessary products were loaded and unloaded in the month. Of this, 2.14 million tons were unloaded and 88,000 tons were loaded.

“In addition, 1.07 million tons of metal products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports within 10th month. Of this, 113,000 tons were unloaded and 958,000 tons were loaded,” the statistics said.

At the same time, 1.96 million tons of construction and mining materials were loaded and unloaded in the 10th month. Of this, 166,000 tons were unloaded and 1.79 million tons were loaded, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, during this month, 30,000 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports. Of this, 26,000 tons were unloaded and 4,000 tons were loaded.

“Moreover, 482,000 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded over the 10th month. So, 197,000 tons of chemical were unloaded and 285,000 tons were loaded,” the statistics said.

During the 10th month, 60,100 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, paper, and wood materials were loaded and unloaded. About 56,500 tons of goods were unloaded and 3,630 tons were loaded.

According to the statistics, 163,000 tons of small and other various goods were loaded and unloaded. Of this, 80,200 tons were unloaded and 83,000 tons were loaded.

“Furthermore, 423,000 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports within the 10th month. Of this, 178,000 tons were unloaded and 245,000 tons were loaded,” the statistics said.

Also, 5.5 million tons of goods were exported and 2.61 million tons were imported in the 10th month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 75,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 77,400 tons were unloaded for transit in Iranian ports over the reporting month.

In addition, 724,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.82 million tons were unloaded for cabotage in Iranian ports during the mentioned month. At the same time, 10,700 tons of cargo were loaded for transshipment and 12,300 tons were unloaded, the statistics said.

“A total of 7,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 29,400 tons were unloaded in Iranian ports for other purposes,” the statistics said.
