Iran declares volume of cargo loaded, unloaded in Khorramshahr port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 23

About 320,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Khorramshahr port in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21,2020 through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 307,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 12,700 tons were unloaded in the port during the reporting month.

Over the 10th month, about 307,000 tons of goods were exported and 12,400 tons were imported through the Khorramshahr port, the statistics said.

“Furthermore, 241 tons of cargo were unloaded at the port for transit purposes within the 10th month. At the same time, 561 tons of cargo were loaded and 14 tons were unloaded for other purposes,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 6,800 tons of essential products, 47,200 tons of metal products, 252,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,570 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Khorramshahr port.

Also, 464 tons of chemicals, 754 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 10,900 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned period, the statistics said.

As reported, a total of 10.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.32 million tons were unloaded and 4.55 million tons were loaded.
