The international cargo transportation by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC amounted to nearly 7.69 million tons in 2020, which is 5.5 percent less compared to 2019, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
The volume of transit cargo transportation amounted to 4.13 million manat ($2.43 million), which is 8.8 percent more than last year.
Domestic cargo transportation for the reporting year amounted to over 2.81 million tons, which is 14.5 percent less compared to 2019.
Last year, the volume of freight traffic totaled over 14.6 million tons, having decreased by 3.9 percent compared to 2019.
In 2020, the volume of cargo transportation in Azerbaijan by all types of vehicles amounted to 188.6 million tons. In monetary terms, the volume of cargo transportation amounted to almost $24.5 billion, which is 26.5 percent less compared to 2019.
