Activities of Iran’s Jask port expand

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 22 percent last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

In general, about 124,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port over the last Iranian year, according to the statistics.

“So, more than 122,000 tons of cargo were exported, and more than 1,000 tons of were imported through the Jask port last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

During last Iranian year, more than 122,000 tons of essential products and 199 tons of metal products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port, the statistics said.

Moreover, 465 tons of construction and mining materials, 73 tons of equipment, vehicles, spare parts, 300 tons of small and assorted products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the reporting period.

Reportedly, a total of 123 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports last Iranian year. This is a decrease of 18.1 percent compared to the preceding year. So, 150 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the preceding year.
