The 3rd border checkpoint between Iran and Pakistan will be opened tomorrow on Apr. 21, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
The Pishin-Mand border checkpoint will be put into operation in the Rask County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran).
There are Mirjaveh and Jaleq border checkpoints between Iran and Pakistan in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
The opening of the border checkpoint will be attended by Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, members of the Iranian parliament, representatives of the Foreign Ministry and Pakistani officials.
Reportedly, according to the statistics of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), the trade turnover between Iran and Pakistan amounted to 2.72 million tons worth $1.18 billion over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021). The trade turnover decreased by 18 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020).
