Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting with Director-General, Chairman of the Board of "Russian Railways" JSC Oleg Belozerov.

The parties discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of railway transport and logistics both in a bilateral format and within the Eurasian Economic Union.

This integration project is aimed at ensuring the transit container transportation services by regular trains through the China-Europe route via Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus.

"Kazakhstan pays special attention to increasing its transport and logistics potential,” Mamin said. “The further development of railways, an increase in the volume of trade and transit in the region are very important and priority tasks for us."
