Iran’s PMO declares data of cargo transportation in Bandar Lengeh Port

A total of 94,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 70,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 23,600 tons were unloaded in the port during the reporting month.

“Furthermore, 70,000 tons of cargo were exported and 4,900 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port in the first month,” the statistics said.

At the same time, 18,400 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 378 tons of cargo were loaded and 98 tons were unloaded for cabotage, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 90 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for other purposes over the first month.

“So, 38,600 tons of essential products, 34,500 tons of construction and mining materials, 19,100 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 1st month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Moreover, 201 tons of chemicals, 1,380 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 174 tons of small and assorted products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.

As reported, more than 11 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the first month of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 14.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
