Net loss of Uzbekistan Railways JSC in the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 95.69 billion soums (9 billion), Trend reports referring to a single portal of corporate information in Uzbekistan
According to the information, the volume of the company’s net loss compared to last year figures (106.8 billion soums, or $10 billion) decreased by 11.1 billion soums ($1 billion).
It is reported that net revenue of the company in the first three months of 2021 increased to 2.3 trillion soums, or $218 million (2.1 trillion soums, or $199 million in 1Q2020), the cost price - up to 1.6 trillion soums, or $152 million (1.3 trillion soums, or $123 million).
In addition, expenses for the reporting period reached 297.6 billion soums, or $28 million (227.5 billion soums, or $21 million last year), expenses on financial activities - up to 726.9 billion soums, or $69 million (695.6 billion soums, or $66 million). Profit from core activities fell to 512 billion soums, or $48 million (671.9 billion soums, or $64 million).
At the same time, income from the financial activities of the company increased 2.1 times - from 153.3 billion soums to 331.7 billion soums (from $14 million to $31 million).
According to the portal, Uzbekistan Railways JSC in 1Q2021 paid taxes for 21.2 billion soums, or $2 million (22.6 billion soums, or $2.1 million in 1Q2020).
It is reported that the company ended 2020 with losses in the amount of 352.7 billion soums ($33 million), although in 2019 the net profit exceeded 850 billion soums ($80 million) and 974 billion soums in 2018 ($92 million).
