Turkmenistan considering possibility of expanding co-op with transport companies of Russia’s Tatarstan

Turkmenistan is considering the possibility of expanding cooperation with a number of transport companies in Russia’s Tatarstan, Trend reports, citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan

During the joint meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, with their delegations, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the country is ready to consider the purchase of electric buses of Tatarstan’s KAMAZ company.

In the future, Turkmenistan intends to acquire not only automobiles but also other special-purpose equipment of this brand.

To date, a large number of cars of KAMAZ have been purchased for use in various sectors of the Turkmen economy.

In addition, the company’s training and service center is successfully operating in Ashgabat.

In addition to KAMAZ, Turkmenistan is ready to consider the proposals of Tatarstan partners to further deepen cooperation with Tatarstan’s Zelenodolsk Shipyard.

Currently, two high-speed passenger vessels produced by the Zelenodolsk Shipyard have joined the navy of Turkmenistan.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.

As reported, Russia’s Tatarstan plans to further supply vehicles to Turkmenistan

It is planned to further supply 463 units of Kamaz vehicles, 2 helicopters of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Mi-17-1V and Ansat to Turkmenistan in 2021.

In addition, it is planned to continue cooperation through "Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky" on shipbuilding issues.

The Turkmen Trading House in Kazan (Tatarstan) and the Tatneft Trading and Technical House in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) will also open.
