The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by about 0.8 percent in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), compared to the 2nd month (April 21 through May 21, 2021), Trend reports the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 5.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the third month. Of this, about 3.6 million tons were loaded and 2.2 million tons were unloaded.
“In addition, 3.08 million tons of cargo were exported and 533,000 tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the reporting month,” the statistics said.
As well as, 239,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 259,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit in the 3rd month, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, 154,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.3 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the third month.
“In the 3rd month, 114,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 96,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment,” the statistics said.
At the same time, 2,670 tons of cargo were loaded, and 24,500 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, about 124,000 tons of essential products, 893,000 tons of metal products, 704,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,050 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 29,900 tons of chemicals, 5,360 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 13,400 tons of small and assorted products, 1.54 million tons of container products, 2.48 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month, the statistics said.
As reported, about 11.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the third month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.53 million tons were loaded and 4.93 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
