Azerbaijan has great advantages in trade between the countries of the Black Sea region and Central Asia, Azerbaijani political analyst Farhad Mammadov told Trend.
“Currently, the port infrastructure of the Caspian Sea (east and west coasts) is not using the existing potential,” the analyst said. “As a result, the Caspian countries are actively involved in attracting transit cargo from China.”
"Azerbaijan, along with China, is actively involved in trade between the countries of the Black Sea region and Central Asia,” Mammadov added. “Azerbaijan, being a Caspian country, has the greatest advantages in this trade. For example, our country is connected with Georgia via railway with an access to the Black Sea ports."
