Uzbekistan Railways received a high-speed Afrosiyob train from Spanish Patentes Talgo S.l.u., Trend reports referring to the company's press service.
According to the information, first, on June 30, two locomotives and 11 Afrosiyob trains arrived from the port of Bilbao (Spain) to the Russian St.Petersburg, from where, having passed the assembly procedure, on July 20 it was sent by rail to Uzbekistan.
Overcoming another 4,200 kilometers, through the territory of the Russia and Kazakhstan, on July 24, it arrived in Tashkent.
This is the fifth of the high-speed trains of this modification in Uzbekistan. Currently, Uzbekistan is in the list of 20 countries of the world with a developed high-speed railway infrastructure and became the only country in Central Asia, which entered the Global High-Speed Train Ranking.
