More than 4 million tons of cargo were transported from the Hamadan Province (western Iran) to other provinces of Iran during the four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Director General of the Roads and Transport Department in Hamadan Province Safar Sadeghirad said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
According to the director general, this is almost the same volume as last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
Sadeghirad added that the Hamadan Province is one of the four main provinces of Iran in terms of cargo transportation.
“Cargo transporting from the south ports of Iran to Hamadan Province continues. Over the past four months, 1,200 trucks transported cargo from Iran’s south ports to the Hamadan Province,” he said.
