The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 34 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 187,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 49,800 tons were loaded and about 137,000 tons were unloaded.
While in the third month of the current Iranian year, 286,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port.
In addition, about 44,200 tons of cargo were exported and 132,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the fourth month.
Within the 4th month, 5,540 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,490 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, 24 tons of cargo were loaded and 163 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the fourth month.
"So, 127,000 tons of essential products, 11,000 tons of metal products, 35,900 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,100 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.
Moreover, 1,280 tons of chemicals, 557 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 314 tons of container products, 9,880 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.
As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
