Georgian Railway shares reports on income in 1H2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16

The income of the Georgian Railway JSC from January through June 2021 increased by 13.2 percent - up to 277.6 million lari ($89.1 million), including from operating activities - by 28.4 percent - up to 93.2 million lari ($29.9 million), Trend reports via the JSC.

The company's losses in the specified period amounted to 32 million lari ($10.2 million), which is two times less than the same period last year.

The total assets of the JSC as of July 1 amounted to 2.187 billion lari ($702.3 million), which is 6.8 percent less than at the beginning of 2021.

The company's liabilities from January through June decreased by 6.5 percent - to 1.86 billion lari, and capital - by 8.9 percent - to 327.3 million lari ($105.1 million).

Earlier it was reported that the freight traffic of the JSC in the first half of 2021 amounted to 6.13 million tons, which is 10.1 percent more than the same period last year.

The Georgian railway is an integral part of the East-West transport corridor. The operational length of its railways is 1,324 kilometers.
