BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 23

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Air Astana will resume direct flights from Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan) to Heathrow International Airport (UK, London), Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

It is reported that the planes in this direction will be resumed from September 18, with a frequency of twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

"The flights will be operated on the long-haul airliner A321LR. The flight duration will amount to seven hours and 15 minutes to London, and six hours and 30 minutes back," the message says.

It is noted that passengers traveling to the UK are required to have a PCR test negative for coronavirus infection, regardless of vaccination status and citizenship. The PCR test must be done three days before departure and strictly comply with UK regulations.

In June it was reported that over the four months of this year, the number of air passengers in Kazakhstan increased by 47 percent - 2.5 million people. In addition, the number of passengers served at airports increased by 39 percent.
